Pipkins are what might be thought of as early sauce pans. Their capacity varied, generally from 4oz. to 30oz. They usually had short, hollow handles which would be fitted with a wooden stick when they were pushed into and pulled from hot coals. For years I regularly made them for reenactors to use in their camp cooking. I now only make them on request. I still have four in stock. This offered price is 50% of the usual cost. I have a few small one I use at home for sauces, hot dips, melted butter, etc.
