1800s Jug - quart

$ 35.00

Sold Out

This stoneware jug is similar to the style of jugs made during the early 19th century.   The jugs became taller and narrower than those of the previous century.  Plus the handles tended to come from the neck rather than the shoulder of the jug.   Of course these are just general trends and jugs could vary from pottery to pottery.

This quart size jug is approx. 6" tall and holds 30- 32 oz.    The jugs shown are  examples of the 1800s jug and not necessarily the one shipped if purchased.   All jugs are glazed in appropriate colors for the period, but not necessarily the glaze shown.
